As if we weren't already giddy enough over the Toyota FT-86, this truly awesome AE86 Trueno-inspired model appeared as the G Sports Turbo Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Most details of this car are vague other than mentioning it has a horizontally-opposed 2.0-liter turbo engine with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual. The white paint job and the carbon fiber black hood clearly hint at the AE86, though the name seems more like the GT-S

From what I hear 'inside', this will be the new flagship Scion (not replacing the TC!) in approx 2 years.
Last I heard, goal price of $20,000

The IQ will be coming some time in 2010 (possibly)

The FT-86 is due as a flagship Scion in 2011

The Toyota Sienna is due today!

here's one for the rumor mill...

...not hybrids (at least not in the near-term future), what innovative technology is Toyota considering for Scion? For starters, all-wheel drive, likely cribbed from Subaru, of which Toyota owns a 16.5-percent stake. Apparently, Toyota believes it can manage an all-wheel-drive Scion that doesn't break the $20,000 barrier more easily than it can one with a hybrid powertrain. Where that falls into the Japanese automaker's stated goal to produce ever more fuel efficient vehicles, we don't yet know.

also, the IQ is due withing the next few months, new TC is 'due' in 2010. Rumor of a 2 litre boxer 4 powering THAT car too. FT-86 in 2011

Oh yeah, and Scion has been considering a small pickup...
